We are excited to welcome Sophie Dolan to the 2025/26 team. Sophie brings a wonderful mix of long standing childcare experience and deep local knowledge of the 3 Valleys.
She first began nannying at 16 years old, working regularly as a babysitter for local families. Her love of children led her to the Alps in 2000 where she spent 3 winters working as a nanny, primarily working in with private families in Courchevel, La Tania and Le Praz. During this time Sophie also supported families on an adhoc basis with well known chalet companies including Esprit Ski and Skivolution.
After several season in the mountain, Sophie returned to the UK where she broadened her professional experience while completing a 4 year accounting qualification. She worked in a range of roles including as a bookkeeper, finance analyst, office manager and auditor for organisations such as the university of Kent and the Royal Horticultural Society. During this time Sophie also started her own family and is the proud mum of 2 daughters.
In 2015 Sophie and her family made the move back to the Alps permanently and now live year round in Tincav, near Bozel. Since returning to France she and her family ran their own ski school, snow limits ski school, giving Sophie excellent knowledge of resort life, mountain safety and family holidays in the area. Having recently sold the buisness, Sophie is excited to return to something she has always loved – working with children and supporting families during their holidays.
Sophie is warm reliable and highly experienced with children of all ages, from 3 months up. With her local knowledge, calm approach and understanding of family needs in a ski resort enviroment, she is a fantastic additions to Courchevel and Meribel Nanny Services.
