Terms and Conditions

Reservations:

A nanny can be reserved for up to 72 hours. Once the 72 hours have passed the nanny may be booked in with another family (unless a longer amount
of time has been agreed).

For bookings being made under 4 weeks before your holiday, a nanny can be held for up to 24 hours after this time, if confirmation of your booking has not been made, the nanny may be booked in with another family.

Payments And Deposits

To confirm your booking, you are required to pay an agency fee to Courchevel/Meribel Nanny Services, paid via BACS transfer in € euros or via online card payment using Paypal, this agency fee is non refundable after this time. (please see cancellation policy for more information)

This payment confirms your booking and includes an age appropriate toy box delivered to your chalet either on the day or arrival or on the first morning of your booking. By Making this payment you are agreeing to the terms and conditions sent you with the invoice.

Your final payment is then paid directly to the nanny, via BACS transfer before arrival
2 weeks before your arrival an invoice for this will be sent along with details of payment and you will be put in touch with your nanny to get organised for your arrival. 

Cancellations

In the event of a cancellation:

We recommend all of our client to have relevant insurance cover for their booked holidays and services.

If you cancel your booking your Agency fee is non refundable

 

If you cancel your booking under 2 weeks prior to your arrival the full amount of pre booked hours will still be owed to the nanny, unless we can refill her into another booking.

 

If you cancel your booking 2 weeks prior to your arrival 50% of the pre booked hours fee will still be owed to the nanny, unless it is due to the below circumstance.

If you must cancel your booking due to resort closure, travel restriction into France from your country of residence the final payment of the booking will not be due to the nanny, however, the booking fee is non refundable.

If your child becomes ill with an infectious illness and can no longer be looked after, we will be unable to refund you any of the booking amount.

Should you decide in resort that you do not require as many hours as you have paid for, no refund will be given for unused hours.

If your Nanny is ill and unable to come to work, we will try to replace them, in the event that a replacement cannot be found you will be refunded the days that your nanny could not work based on your nannies hourly rate, in this instance the agency fee is non-refundable, but as the agency we will try our best to cover your booking

We will always endeavour to cover a nanny during sickness, however during peak weeks and busy periods this is not always possible.

In the event of Force Majeure, ( an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of Meribel Nanny Services or the client, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, epidemic or an event described by the legal term Act of God (hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption), Meribel Nanny Services shall not be deemed liable or in default for any breach of contracted services.

All paperwork required will be sent to you for claims from your travel insurance.

Please note that Nicole Wallbank and the full team of nannies are all self-employed and have very high outgoings to ensure they are here in Meribel and available to care for your children for you on your holiday, our terms and conditions are in place to protect both the nannies and also the families (should the nannies need to cancel their booking).

Private Nanny, Snacks, Lunches And Extra Activities

Food, snacks and extra activities (such as bowling, ice skating, swimming etc) are not included in the price of your private nanny booking. It is a good idea to give your nanny a “Kitty” at the beginning of the week. Your nanny will keep a note of what has been spent and the receipts, for information on how much each activity costs, please ask

Cooking In Chalets And Providing Food For Your Nanny

Depending on the company or accommodation you are staying in your nanny may cook lunch and snacks for your children or take them out to a restaurant for lunch. When staying in a self – catered chalet your nanny can of course cook hot meals for your children, when staying in a catered chalet you may need to check with them first to ensure your nanny is allowed to use the kitchen.

Please ensure that you provide us with all the information needed on your child’s allergies, likes and dislikes.

When you have booked a private nanny, you are also required to provide your nanny with food during her working hours, this includes meals when taking the children out to a restaurant.

If you would like your nanny to meet you at a restaurant, please ensure there is a safe way for your nanny to get to the restaurant on foot (public paths and walks) if you would like child friendly easy accessible restaurant recommendations do not hesitate to ask Nicole

Tour Operators and Hotels

It is your responsibility to inform your accommodation suppler that you will have a nanny working in their chalet/apartment/hotel before booking your nanny. Should you fail to inform your accommodation provider and upon your arrival your nanny is not welcome in to the chalet/apartment/hotel the amount will not be refunded

Special offers are subject to availability and are not available during peak weeks.

Only 1 special offer can be used with each booking.

Health And Safety

At Meribel Nanny Services we take health and safety very seriously! With each booking the nannies take as many measures as possible to ensure the health and safety to all the little ones in our care. Ultimately it is the tour operators or owners’ responsibility to ensure that health and safety regulation are adhered to in accommodations. If the client has any concerns over the health and safety in their accommodation they should speak directly to the tour operator or owner to resolve the issue.

Due to strict laws in France, insurance and health and safety, your nanny is unable to ski as part of their job, not all of our nannies are at a confident level to ski and are not insured to ski with you, your children or the children’s classes.

Please ensure that all children are handed over to the nanny each day in a fit, healthy state and provide all necessary items and equipment needed for the care of your children. This includes suncream, hats, warm clothes etc.
 
All permission forms are to be read, filled in and signed before the nanny can care for your children, the form will either be delivered on the day of arrival or the nanny will bring the form on the first morning.

All our nannies are trained in resort at the beginning of the season including health and safety in the chalets and outdoors in resort.

Each nanny also holds an in date first aid certificate and a DBS check. Insuring all little ones are in safe and competent hands.

Note: If your child/children have an accident or suffers and loss or damage to his/her personal effects or money Meribel Nanny Services will not be liable to pay any damages or costs.

If you child/children incurs any liability to a third party for example, of injury caused by your child/children to a third party, loss or damage to the third parties personal property or effects, Meribel Nanny Services will not be responsible.

Recruitment

Without amazing nannies, we couldn’t be childcare specialists, which is why our rigorous recruitment process is so important.

Every nanny first sends a CV through, if they meet the correct criteria’s they are then invited for a skype interview with Nicole the managing director.

If the managing director is happy with the nannies interview she will then check references and invite the nanny to a face to face interview to check the original paper work (qualification, DBS, first aid certificate and passport)

All Courchevel Nanny Services nannies are, experienced, DBS checked and first aid trained.

They are then trained by Meribel Nanny Services in resort.
