We are delighted to welcome Sylvie to our Val Thorens team for winter 2026/27. Sylvie brings with her over 15 years of professional childcare experience and is passionate about providing fun, caring and high quality childcare to families visiting the Three Valleys.
Originally from France, Sylvie spent nine years living in the UK, where she developed her fluent English while working with children in a variety of educational settings. During her time in Brighton, she taught French in primary schools, nurseries and baby groups, helping children of all ages develop their confidence and language skills through engaging, interactive activities.
Having previously fallen in love with Val Thorens during earlier ski seasons, Sylvie returned to the resort in 2014 with her two daughters to make the mountains their home. During her first winter back, she taught English in the local schools and quickly began working as a private nanny alongside her teaching commitments.
Over the past decade, Sylvie has become a well-known and trusted nanny in the Val Thorens Valley. She has cared for children from just 3 months through to 12 years old, supporting families from all over the world and creating memorable holiday experiences for both children and parents.
Sylvie believes that holidays should be exciting, adventurous and full of fun. She loves making the most of everything the mountains have to offer, whether that’s building snowmen, sledging, exploring the village, enjoying nature walks, taking gondola rides or getting creative indoors with crafts, games and stories when it’s time to warm up. Her calm, caring nature and ability to quickly build a wonderful rapport with children means they feel safe, happy and excited to spend time with her.
As both a mother and an experienced nanny, Sylvie understands the importance of providing each family with personalised care. She is committed to ensuring every child enjoys a fun-filled, engaging and safe holiday while parents can relax knowing their children are in experienced and capable hands.
With her extensive childcare background, fluent English and French, and over ten years of experience living and working in Val Thorens, Sylvie is a fantastic addition to our team. We are thrilled to have her representing us in the Val Thorens Valley this winter.

Sylvie was the perfect nanny for our ski trip. She was so lovely to have around and so good with the children. She was incredibly flexible and easy going with changing / uncertain plans. We were so lucky to find Sylvie after having a bad experience at the ESF creche. She was very responsive, brought age-appropriate toys, sent me pictures throughout the day and by the end my 21-month-old was sad to see her go and giving her lots of hugs. We would definitely get in touch with Sylvie again if we come back to Val Thorens, she is amazing with kids.
